There is a potential new threat to the survival of two endangered species.

Much in the news lately has been a wind farm’s request to the US Fish and Wildlife Service for a permit allowing the ‘incidental take’ of endangered Whooping cranes and Piping plovers. For decades the Whooping Crane Conservation Association has championed the best interests of Whooping cranes and its new President, Brian Johns, carries on that tradition.

Why do all the energy companies get to have protection from the law at the expense our environment? Our utility bills are outrageous as it is!

Hurray for Brian! He didn’t retire! He went on to bigger things. A wonderful guy, craniacs, from Saskatchewan, who worked with our Western flock till he retired.
