For the Birds…

I feel it’s a pretty safe assumption that most readers of our Field Journal enjoy birds and most of us very likely have bird feeders. Also safe to assume that a good number of readers have heard, at least once, the unmistakable ‘thump’ of a bird hitting a window of your home.

Did you know there is a correct placement of feeders in relation to your windows, which will help to lessen the risk of window collisions? Feeders mounted with suction cups on windows not only give songbirds something to aim for when they cannot see the glass of your window but it also allows you a close-up view while they’re feeding.
