The 2013 aircraft-guided Whooping crane migration is officially underway!
Winds this morning are out of the north and light. We have clear skies and zero fog so the pilots are on their way to the training site at the White River Marsh State Wildlife Area to launch the Class of 2013 and begin leading them south.
How far will they go? How long will it take? Will all eight fly, or will some stay behind and need to be crated?
