Training Recap

Friday morning began just like any other day of aircraft training – Brooke arrived in the trike; Tom and Doug released the very eager Whooping crane colts and off they went out over the north section of White River Marsh.

We’re able to follow the for quite a distance on the CraneCam but eventually they disappear behind the stand of trees and we’re left to wait for them to reappear. Friday morning, as we waited anxiously, I began hearing the unmistable pitter-patter sound of raindrops. A lovely popup shower had developed over the marsh and with the sun beaming created some ethereal sites that luckily, Tom Schultz captured from inside the pen to share with you.

This year’s cohort is brilliant! So great to see how cohesive a unit they are and how bonded to YM they are.
