Hi, on Saturday August 22nd at about 9:00 AM I was on my way over to a friends house between Neshkoro and Princeton WI. When I rounded a sharp curve there were 4 sandhills and one whooping crane together standing in the middle of the road. I nearly had stop to avoid them before they took flight. I was awestruck by this beautiful bird as it glided off with it’s cousins. I really feel lucky to have had this amazing close encounter with such a rare and endangered creature. Keep up the good work and hopefully more people will be able to experience something so cool.

They sure seemed at home with the runway!

What an awesome video! Such good footage of our former students.
They are sooooooo beautiful all in white with the full head coloring of adult Whoopers. Just amazing watching them stroll down the runway. Maybe picking up left over grapes or whatever? Thank you OM for bringing it to us!

I had just tuned in again when I saw them flying toward the camera and got so excited! They were just gorgeous as they strolled down the runway! What a treat! Great camera work by Grateful Dad.
