Training Photos

Yesterday was the first time Joe has been back in the pilot seat since mid-August and the young cranes did not disappoint.

Here are a few photos I managed to capture during the 21 minute training session from the public viewing location at Mile Road and County Road D.

A few minutes before the aircraft arrived sub-adults 4-13, 9-13 & 7-14 flew over our heads as they left the marsh.

I was there and was very surprised to see that there where as many people there. Talked to to young ladies that where from New York city. Who gave me a card for which is about the redtailed hawks nesting in New York Manhattan. It was awesome to see the colts in formation behind the trike. They flew over four times. Joe did a very good job of avoiding the sun so the people could see them.

Beautiful photos! Looking forward to hopefully getting a chance to see these beautiful birds flying at the Festival this weekend. It always amazes me to see them stretching their wings out in such an aerial dance of joy.

Great photos, as usual! Don’t know why, but they all just choke me up with joy lately. What a great cohort this has been! Only 10 days now to the departure date! ~^~
