Whooping Crane Training UPdate

Following three straight days of training last weekend and during the Crane Festival, the rest of the week brought windy conditions every day, with the exception of yesterday.

Here are some photo’s captured by Doug Pellerin and Jo-Anne Bellemer at the public viewing location near the training site during yesterday’s 23 minute flight.

What beautiful close-up photos – I swear if Joe didn’t have on his mask-head thingy, we’d be able to see his smile! Keep the pictures coming, it adds so much to the whole experience!

The weather forecast for the Rockford, Illinois area is for clear to partly cloudy conditions up to 9/30. Winds will be variable with the first favorable winds predicted for 9/25. So, in the immortal words of Bob Barker, COME ON DOWN!!!
