Longer Flights

In case you missed it on the CraneCam yesterday…. The Costume-reared cohort flew for just over 4 minutes yesterday and saw a very large portion of White River Marsh area in the process.

It was awesome. Longest flight yet!

I wonder how they decide where to fly and when to return? Is their a leader emerging? Their flight is stunningly beautiful, but their return is heartwarming. Thank you for this lovely video.

It was spectacular to watch the flight “live” yesterday. Equally awesome to see the colts flying today.

My goodness, the only thing missing was the ultralight!

So awesome to watch! Does any one bird tend to lead?

I miss those ultralite plane-crane take offs. Why do things have to change???? Those “burds” need some guidance when they are airborne. Good luck to all of you working with them.

Thanks for the ‘Kleenex’ moments! Amazing camera work too. Pretty sure the costumes wanted to cheer when they landed but I’m also pretty sure they restrained themselves. Everyone involved should be proud, proud, proud!

I do a very quiet restrained happy dance Dar! Not just because they landed safe but because they are getting more and more independent!!!

Made me cry. Imagine the joy they feel flying.
