Bryce Moves to Louisville Zoo

On Wednesday we told you about “Bryce” aka Parent-Reared Whooping Crane #70-16. Well that same day, he was transported to the Louisville Zoo where he will continue his rehabilitation behind the scenes.

    Thank you Louisville Zoo taking Bryce! I hope he remains there as an educational Whooping Crane. If I remember correctly, some hunters in the area (Kentucky and Indiana) need to learn what a Whoopibg Crane looks like so they don’t shoot them “by mistake”. Good luck Bryce, and thanks for the nice picture of him.

    Do you know the the prognosis for BRYCE at this time? Hopefully they can prepare his wing for flight. Poor baby!!!

      we do not but it’s very likely he will remain in captivity.
