Patuxent veterinarian Glenn Olsen helps load the precious cargo onto a donated private jet at the Baltimore airport. 7 whooping cranes were transported in this first shipment on June 12, 2002. The remaining 10 cranes arrived at the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge two-weeks later on June 27th.
