Return to the Field Journal

The yearling cranes that returned on their own from Florida in April followed the ultralight to the site II training area on June 27th. Cranes 1, 2 and 5 consider this area to be their territory now and are defending it from the costumed surrogates.
The costumed handlers attempt to convince the now adult cranes to relocate elsewhere.
Swamp monster makes a return appearance - to no avail.
Joe attempts to lead the yearling cranes away with the aircraft - to no avail.
