Day Twenty-three - Nov. 7, 2003

Morgan County, IN to Jackson County, IN

Our "home" for the past week - I know, I know... It ain't easy living on the road.
Richard van Heuvelen led the cranes out of the remote harvested soybean field where they've been since Nov. 1st.
He continued south with them leading them toward the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge near Seymour, Indiana - our last stopover before heading into Kentucky.

About mid-way into the 42 mile flight, two cranes appeared to be dropping back so Brooke Pennypacker moved in to pick them up, using his large wing.
1 hour & 6 minutes later all of the human and avian flyers arrived in Jackson County, Indiana.
