Day 41 - Nov. 25, 2003

Cumberland Co., TN to Meigs Co., TN

Richard van Heuvelen takes off in his small aircraft, while the "beast" looms ahead of him to the southeast.
After picking up the young cranes with his trike, Brooke leads them on a pass paralleling the tall ridge in an attempt to gain the altitude to cross over it.

The three aircraft and sixteen cranes seem much smaller in comparison to the large ridge ahead.
