TOMORROW!!!

Day 53 - Dec. 7, 2003

Hamilton Co., FL  to Gilchrist Co., FL

Heather and Deke take a moment to horse around while the pilots were assembling their aircraft.

Rebecca captures a photo of Joe suiting up, while Deke stays warm inside the car.

Mark Nipper and Charlie Shaffer make the long walk to the crane pen; the top of it barely visible on the right side of this photograph.
Richard van Heuvelen applies power and the cranes eagerly follow as he speeds along the grass strip.

Fifteen on the left wing, and one out of frame, on his right wing.

The youngsters quickly fall into place behind the lead aircraft and climb out of our Hamilton County stopover.
Richard continued on course with the group trailing him. About a mile away from the site they began to break up due to a slight headwind. Eventually all were gathered up, with five forming on Joe and the remaining eleven with Brooke Pennypacker.
