2002 Migration South: Wisconsin to Florida

Photos taken Nov. 28, 2002. Flight from Hamilton Co., to Gilchrist Co., FL

Happy Thanksgiving!

The view from the tiny cockpit of 13 cranes off the left wingtip
Whenever possible the cranes are allowed to forage in ponds and wetlands at each of the isolated stopovers.
Occasionally a skirmish will take place - perhaps resulting from someone butting in on another's flight order?
All 16 flyers lift off from Hamilton Co., FL and head to Gilchrist Co.

The view from below as the lead trike passes over north central Florida.
