2003 Cranes Return HOME!

As we receive images over the summer months, either from the Monitoring Team; comprised of staff from the International Crane Foundation, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, or from the staff at Necedah National Wildlife Refuge, we'll share them with you through this summer '04 Photo Journal.

April 21st - Male crane #311 spends time at a small wetland in Juneau County, WI not too far from the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge.
April 20th - One year old cranes 203 & 215 foraging in a harvested cornfield in Monroe County, WI.
On Monday April 19th, still-juvenile cranes 310 & 313 arrived home - in fact, they returned to the training site on the Necedah NWR where they had taken their very first flights alongside our tiny aircraft 8 months ago.
April 18, 2004 - After returning from Florida in the Spring of 2003, and spending the summer in northern Illinois, crane #214 returned to Wisconsin for the first time after following our aircraft from Wisconsin to Florida in the fall of '02.
