2002 Migration South: Wisconsin to Florida

Photos taken Nov. 24, 2002. Flight from Meigs Co., TN to Gordon Co., GA. Two yearlings invade the flock.
The lead bird and the one on the right are yearlings #1 & #2, lacking the fawn colouring of the juvenile on the left.
#'s 1 & 2 are above the juvenile Whooping crane.
Off the left wingtip of the ultralight, in the lead and last position are hatch year cranes 1 & 2. These two yearlings flew for approximately five miles with the trike and juveniles before breaking away and continuing south through Georgia.
